What we keep, why, and on what basis
- Buying and delivery: the email, name and country you enter at checkout, and the amount and date of the order. We need them to deliver the guide, send the link again and answer your questions (performance of the contract, GDPR art. 6.1.b).
- Tax records: order details are kept as tax law requires (legal obligation, art. 6.1.c).
- Payment: payment details (card, wallet or account) are handled by Stripe; we never see them.
- Copy protection: your email address is printed at the foot of the PDF pages you download (legitimate interest in protecting the copyright, art. 6.1.f).
- Visit statistics: we count visits, clicks and sales and which video they come from. No cookies, no third-party tools. To count visitors we make a code from the IP address and browser that changes every day and can't be turned back into the IP address, which isn't stored (legitimate interest, art. 6.1.f).
We send no newsletters or advertising and sell no data to anyone.
Who processes it for us
- Stripe Payments Europe (Ireland): payments and working out VAT.
- Resend (United States): sending the email with the download link.
- Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany): the server that hosts the site and the order data.
They process the data on our behalf. Transfers to the United States rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
How long
Orders: 7 years, as Dutch tax law requires for business records. Visit statistics: 26 months, then deleted automatically. Backups: 14 days.
Your rights
You can ask for access, correction, deletion (within the tax-record limits), restriction and portability of your data, and object to processing based on legitimate interest, by emailing jol.business.projects@proton.me. You can also complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl) or the data protection authority where you live.
